I picked up a new PS2 game recently. Yes, PS2. I do not own a PS3. I probably will not own a PS3 until my PS2 dies. Even then I’ll have to think about it. Fathers have priorities.
So I picked up this game, OKAMI
It’s visually beautiful. The gameplay and movement are unlike any other game I’ve played. The only thing remotely negative I can say about the game is that the characters talk too much.
Stepping out of the game to draw brush strokes on simulated paper to effect magical powers in gameplay is a "stroke of genius." I’m in love with this game, and so is my 8-year-old daughter.
