Validation, this morning, of my recent adventures in promoting Bokononism.  I get on the train in Fredericksburg, and sitting across from me is an older gentleman wearing a jacket that says "FootJoy" on the sleeve… bokomaru!

These are the things that attract me to religion(s).  The little rituals and practices that are filled with beauty.  In Bokononism it is bokomaru.  There is the "water brother" ritual in Stranger in a Strange Land, and the much older ritual of footwashing…
